Program Dates: TBD

Eligibility: Students must currently be enrolled in grades 6-8

Application Fee: $100

Tuition Fee: TBD

Program Description

Students will be exposed to the various ecosystems on the Island of Catalina – they will participate in hands-on research activities, both on land and in the sea, as well as learn how native cultures both on Catalina and elsewhere view the environment, in comparison to most cultures today.  Students enrolled in the course will come to appreciate and learn how to take the lead in sustaining our planet environmentally.  This is a great introductory course for middle school students to prepare them for taking other “Global Environmental Leadership and Sustainability” courses once in high school.
