Program Description

It has never been more important to spark the imagination of students, prepare them for an ever evolving world, and develop their leadership capabilities. We have such a limited time on this planet, so each of us must understand the interconnection between each of us and our environment. The University of California, San Diego is thrilled to develop a partnership with Centro Fox in Guanajuato, Mexico, that would serve high school students to ensure the next generation has a sense of responsibility for their decisions, empathy, a global view, and the realization that making the world better for one pocket of society makes the world better for society as a whole. Now is the time - our global reality requires us to learn to build bridges not walls with our communities both locally and abroad.

Transportation for Participants

Please Note: We will be flying out of the Tijuana International Airport by way of the Cross Boarder Express (CBX) bridge. Our destination airport is the Del Bajío International Airport servicing Guanajauto, Mexico.

Students and staff will travel down to the Cross Border Express for the departing flight. All students must meet the instructors and staff at the Cross Border Express USA. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Cross Border Express USA. Parents must pick up their children after the program ends from the Cross Border Express USA. UC San Diego Staff and program instructors will be traveling with the students to cross the border.

Learning Outcomes
